Yellowing Musas Basjoo leaves

Can anyone please tell me what could be causing these funky yellow deformed leaves on my newly uncovered musas. It is occurring in both the front yard and the back yard.

I have considered the following:

* It has been a chilly April for us here in NJ 50s and 60s during the day and 40's and even a few high 30s at night

* Possibly i fertilized too early (Did not use a high nitrogen fertilizer either), and burned them??

* Not enough nitrogen in the soil??

Any info and tips would help! thanks all!

Michael

Hey Michael! Mine are doing the same thing and I also came to the forum for a solution, I think its just them acclimating to the new environment after being covered for so long, they should get used to it soon.

Mine are the same as well and they also have black spots on the leaves, however it recently produced a new leaf that is normal.

Had they already grown those leaves prior to being uncovered. My first thought is covered leaves in total darkness should be yellow because in darkness they can't create clorophyll in the leaves.

Hello Zacarias. They did not produce those leaves while covered. They are fine now and pumping out greener leaves and well formed too. Must have been the cloudy cool days and nights. They look healthier now
Thanks
