I don't know if this is the right thread to post in. Maybe Jarred can merge the three threads?

Here goes anyway.

Each fall, as the temps drop and the plants get cool weather and some rain, the leaves on my plants get these kind of spots on them. I figure that's my cue to start winterizing them. I try to exclude anymore water from soaking the ground, and start potting up my more sensitive varieties. I mostly have edibles, and some show more spots than others.

Being Basjoo and Sikki are both very cold tolerant, it seems that both should look the same. Did they harden off well before going outside? Maybe bringing them inside will help 'til it warms up a bit.

Then again, I could be all wrong...
Good luck!

That's a lovely Sikki, by the way...

Congratulations on getting your first bananas to grow from seed. It's more than I can do. I had no luck from seed. Sorry to hear of the crappy weather. Give it some heat and withhold the water for a while, and hopefully it'll turn around for you. Basjoo are tough...

Judging by the type of summer you state you've had (cool and rainy), I'd suspect that they are fungal spots. Hopefully they won't get any worse and you'll have a warmer and slightly drier summer next year.

Agree, could be a fungus or bacteria, not sure exactly.

What threads micro should be merged?

Check the opening page of Cold Hardy Bananas

When I look at the opening page for cold hardy bananas, it looks like Mattyb802 posted the same thread (some without pics) 3 times, and there are replies to one of the other threads too. Coulda been some kinda timewarp wormhole thingy in cyberspace that took one posting and split it into 3 and then posted them all separately...
