I don't know if this is the best place to make this post, but figured that most people interested in cold hardy use thermometers.
I am looking for (hopefully not too expensive) some thermometers and software that I can link to my pc, to track/chart highs and lows on a daily basis. Is anybody here using such. I have found a link to some free software that will do the data charting/tracking, but it was quite old. Any ideas? Thanks aaron |

I never asked but assume you're a fly fisherman. I was using one during late winter /early spring to use in my inexpensive greenhouse. It was about $30 and although it didn't link to PC it had a remote sensor, measured indoor and outdoor temps , recorded highs and lows for 24 hour period , date and time and was well worth it. I got it at Home Depot.

thanks for the lead..
and yes, I am a flyfisher...or at least I was....Now I am a husband, father of 5, a struggling new chiropractor, and a brand new banana addict. When I am all the above...BUT a successful looking forward to it....lol ......... I will prob end up with a high/low like yours, but I sure hope to find one that I can automate, and then I'll link it to my web page and share data with others. (I really dont like manual data entry..with my schedual..I would rather be in my garden or on the river. ) thanks aaron |

I have a mini-weatherstation from Davis Instruments that hooks up to my Mac via USB, that I found in a Brazilian import store in Quito; I have no idea where you might look to find one similar. It's fantastic.
However, a quick boo on the Internets turns up: Looks like they now come in wireless. |

The world needs more chiropractors just like it needs more bananas! Hang in there Browndrake! I used to be a CA back in the mid 80's when I was a struggling single mother working for a struggling new chiropractor and can say that it was the only job that I truely loved because I believed in it. So now you grow more bananas and go home, sit in your tropical back yard and forget about what the book keeper is nagging you about.
![]() Can't help you with the thermometer question though. ![]() |

I am currently searching the internet.
When I am 'rich and famous' I am going to get something like this: TempTrax Model E monitors and logs everything...will even send you an alarm to your email, phone or pager...if it gets too hot or too cold.. ............. Well, until the fame...or at least fortune.....comes, I will probably stick with a high-low from home depot, and a good pen and paper. aaron edit..thanks CookieCows |
