I have used it for years with some very good results.

It sure can't hurt. According to organic grower Elliot Coleman seaweed contains virtually every micronutrient known to man. I use the liquid form occaisionally and try to grab 5 or 6 garbage bags full of it every time I fish a certain spot. I use it as a mulch during the growing season and till in the fall.

By seaweed extract do you mean 'Nitrozyme'? I've got some of this myself and have used it to induce sideshoots in chillis mainly, but it can be used as a foliar feed. I would also like to know the answer to this seaweed question.

I don't mean to be rude, but sometimes if you use your own excrements, you can get better results than with any nutritions.
Animal - plant exchange has always been the best choice in here, no problems so far. If you mix the fertilizer (whatever excrement) with water apx 1:5 (or in resting period 1:15), you can't really over fertilize the soil. :D

And if you don't have any animals nearby, just don't flush the toilet once. :D :D :D

Forgot to mention, I use vermicompost as well, quite effective in my case. You might want to try it out.

I use it as a nutritional supplement for my dogs. For me its too expensive to use on plants though although I'm sure it would add to the soils fertility.
