sad hardy!

I transplanted my hardy banana from my flower bed to a big pot 2 weeks ago and it looked great! Now it looks gloomy and has brown tips! what is wrong???

Wow ...sorry for your plants....

Looks like transplant shock.......google it if you have a chance....

Plants do not like to be replanted.....is this your first plant?

They will do this.. give them time to recover.

I agree with Mike, most to all of your plants growing conditions were changed in one afternoon. Looks like shock to me also.

A nice big window facing to the south will make that plant very happy. Give it the TLC it needs such as mist the leafs, water and rotate it. Like the others said, transplant shock will always happens and will take some time to re-establish itself. Remember you'll go trough the same thing come spring time when you take it outdoors. It will go through the (Oh my gosh its bright out here shock)

When going from soil to soil, always try and keep as much attached to the roots as you can. It will lessen the shock.

Now that it's been a week or so, get a large fast food drink cup and urinate in it. Fill the rest of the way with water and give it a healthy dose. It should bounce back.

Also, set it outside in partial sun as often as possible...It will thank you for it. Just be careful after long periods without direct sun as it may get sunburnt...
