Default Raja Puri Necrosis Repetition

So I purchased Raja Puri from Just Fruits & Exotics 2 years ago. Since then I have had 2 Racks in 2019 and 1 Rack this spring.
The 2019 racks I let go all the way and pruned off the very tail of flower but they never filled up. They just turned black and died.

Note: I currently have healthy racks on Tall Namwah, and Dwarf Orinoco 8 ft away. Basically same water/sunlight/elevation etc.

The rack this year 2020 I was especially excited because it was going to have plenty of time to fill. Im in Zone 9A Southeast Texas (By Gulf). The 2020 Rack is actually worse than the 2019 racks. I pruned the 2020 rack to 3 hands and rubbed off the flowers. Thats what I thought I was suppose to do with Raja Puri after reading through the forums here. So I was excited thinking I was doing the right thing. Anyone have any suggestions.

I think you should add fertilizer to the mat. It is possible that the plant is aborting the fruit. Second I would leave more space if you cut the bloom. Into a foot. Maybe you should just leave the bloom so it doesn't for back in the bananas.

What BBJ said. More potassium and leave more room after the last banana before cutting off. Maybe a 1' or run the flower out if you have four plus months of good weather ahead.

I have had the same thing happen to me on a couple plants (weak after winter plant/flowers) and in both cases I think I cut the flower off too early.

Ok so leave the flower hanging. I read on here I needed to "Prune" the bottom off and pull off the male flowers... Is that not the case? On my notes it says "Prune the bottom 2 hands and deflower". Does that just mean chop the flower off the bottom? I pulled the male flowers off then cut the tail off.

This is not a RajaPuri but is this where I should prune it? https://imgur.com/a/qEhAKoV

Yeah, that spot looks good to me. Leaves you about a foot of distance after the last banana.
