Default Is this a pup?

I guess I surely wasn't expecting any pups so early...my basjoos were quite small, and only planted outside on Memorial Day, where they had a tough time with acclimation.

I have been pulling up weeds around them (planning on making a bed around them, haven't got that far yet), and I didn't pull this, that's for sure! Is it a pup? Leaf shape and color sure makes me believe it is, as well as how close it is to the plant....

But my gosh...they were so tiny just a few months ago....to have a pup already, if that's the case, I'm AMAZED!

So, if it is, do I leave it till next year? Because they were so small "first years," I planned on potting them and bringing them inside for the first winter. Leave it on the corm?

This sure looks like a pup to me...but, aside from pics of older ones, I've never really seen one before!

Yeah thats definately a pup. I would leave it till next year i doubt it will get big enough to seperate this year. If you protect it good enough it will start growing next year where it stops when the cold comes...

Pups are so cute. Yup yup, that's one alright. In no time, you'll start trying to find places to put all the pups once it gets going. XD

yep that's a pup alright. Usually they are a little more upright than that to start so looks are deceiving but some banana's pup fast. I have probably got 4 big pups this year off one sikki that wasn't 2 feet tall in February.
