Hello everyone. As many of you have already done in areas like mine, we put our Bananas to bed for the Winter. I Have a lot that stay in the ground but decided to dig up several and store them bare root so that I can plant them in their new home in my backyard.
I am planning on creating a new subtropical area in my backyard and need some ideas. Maybe something some of you have already done. I would like to create a big lush tropical area, but I just don't 100% know how to design it.
What I am thinking of planting are Basjoos (to stay permanently), Ensete Maurelii, Musa Zebrina, Colocasia, Alocasia, Cannas.....

Does anyone have something like that planted and can show me, so that I can maybe build off of that.

One of the best places for design ideas and plant placement is the Pinterest app.

Use the plant or feature names you're considering as your keyword search and dissect the photos for desirable characteristics to incorporate in your new space.

Use natural materials if possible if creating walls, dry streams, or berms. You might find an interesting piece of driftwood along the KY river that can be a focal point.
