I realize seeds can be quite variable (or mislabled/misidentified) so who knows, but for what its worth, my HH plants have significant striping on the young leaves.

Sorry my last post was a little off your thread topic, but back to it. I have heard velutina can flower when quite young, and given your success in a cooler climate, you have definitely piqued my interest. How are you growing it? Can I assume it is in a pot that you move indoors for winter?
