These are some basjoo's I came across at our Greece-Ridge Center last night here in Rochester/Greece, NY (Zone 6a). I spend a lot of time out of town and don't get to check up on these guys much. I'm here for the rest of the year though, so I'll keep an eye on them. They don't take too good care of them and while they've pulled out the non-hardy ones and left these guys in-ground, I've seen them pull these out & discard at the Marketplace Mall (Henrietta, NY). Let's see what they do this year. There's probably 100-150 of them planted around the mall.

Do what? Discarding them? Lack of knowledge. They obviously know nothing about bananas, much less hardy ones.
