Musa Basjoo Seems Overcrowded? Remove pups?

I have two large clusters that are over 12 feet tall. Fertile Myrtle makes pups like crazy. It looks so crowded and appears some are fighting to grow up and seem blocked by other leaves in the middle of the group. Should I remove some of the large pups (some three feet or more tall) to give them room? Is it healthier for them all if I remove some? I hate doing that, but I feel it's going to affect their growth. By the way, I'm in Missouri and I now have bananas in the third year. So cool to see. Thanks for any advice.

Me personally, I'd leave it alone unless you want to gift some out.

We want new plants so have "thinned" our clumps. Does not seem to have much impact on the size of the thinned clump plants - we will dig the pups at 18" and up. We are building a "Jungle" with so far some 40 or so clumps - looking to get to 150 which we should reach next year. After 10 years of trial and error (mostly error) we have figured out how to grow them for our soil type(s) and weather conditions (zone 7, N. Virginia. Still working on how best to fertilise, or better say, how much to fertilise.
