How to control/limit the height of banana plant?

I will be planting Musa sikkimensis seeds in a pot but I don’t want it to get it too tall. Will keeping it in a pot prevent it from getting too tall? If it gets too tall can you cut it back to reduce the height?

starting with a super dwarfed variety helps with height indoors

you can also chop it down to about a foot when it gets too tall but it does regain the height quickly

good luck with the seed germination

Ok thanks, I will plant them in the ground and will just cut them down to about a foot at the start of spring. How tall do you think it will get in my zone 8a? Thanks I will need all the luck since it's my first time planting banana seeds.

Banana seeds can be challenging to germinate. If you haven't already I might suggest a bit of study on the subject prior to commencing. There is a lot of excellent information to be had on this forum.
