Growing Pups

Hello Everyone, I've got another question for all of you pros.

I harvested my bananas that grew in a pot, so I cut back the plant to the top of the soil. Now, I have a pup growing out of the rhizome. Should I allow the pup to continue growing in the plant or should I cut it off the rhizome and pot it in another container? Also, will the rhizome continue to sprout pups if I was to plant it? Thanks for all of your help.

Well, it depends on the casses. If the container/pot is bigger than 25gal or
so, you can leave it as it is. But in the case of a smaller container, it better
seperate the pup from the rhizome and pot it in another container.
The rhizome will possiblly continue to sprout if there is another baby sucker
with it. So don't throw it away and keep it in the soil.

Thank you for the reply. I've tried seperating the pups previously with no luck. They tend to just sit there, until they eventually die. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. Can you give me the best process for seperating them with specifics. For example, how much of the rhizome should I cut away to stay with the pup?
