First Season
So Iím going for my first full grow season. The green bananas in the back were planted late last summer (August I believe). The leaves died during a frost around 25 degrees in February but the plants lived. Green/red one was this year in March. Is everything looking ok from this? Should I be removing the babies popping up? Iím just looking for general tips. Iím in Sacramento CA. Thanks.

Pic is in my gallery I guess uploading isnít recommended?

Your plants look great!!
You choice with the pups which may be separated once they are about knee high and moved about to fill in the gaps.

Sometimes posting photos can be a challenge sometime. I know i have been there.

Re: First Season
Thanks. One of the plants is now getting what looks to be fried leaves when they sprout along the edges. It’s the green/red one that’s not in a pot. I’m in Sacramento and the temps are hitting 108 in my specific area. They are getting plenty of water but I’m not sure if I may be over watering this specific one. The leaves it had before the heat hit are doing just fine.

I transplanted a few of the taller Musa Basjoo sprouts to containers. Leaves died immediately but the plants kept growing. Going to see about moving them to the front yard.

Re: First Season

This is what is happening with the new leaves. Suggestions anyone? Like I said, its only this plant, the Musa Basjoo are doing just fine right now.

Re: First Season
Those are signs of overwatering. Don’t water for several days and cut back to about 1/2 what your doing now.

Thanks for the advice everyone on this one. I cut day em on the watering to just the drip in the morning but I would also mist it three times a day. New leaf came back in normal.
