Then & now she has 3 pups in the works.. I'm thinking I will have 4 more CG Bunches this year.. One here and 3 more on the mat that already has a flower.. :^)

You know what? I'm starting to really believe in this fertilizer thing; I had some left over seaweed rotting in a bucket for a couple days so I filled the thing up with water last night and threw the whole five gallons at one mat of bananas, and do you know this morning before I left for work I was almost sure the leaf I'd seen coming out last night had grown by a couple inches

Is caligold dwarf Orinoco?

That's a good Q? Some say yes.. I say maybe, but the only DO I've had have a red tinge to them.. Never seen a Dwarf Orinoco produce like my CG last fall so who knows.. It could be up for debate..

On another note if that were true I think Ted (GreenEarth) would have an easy solution to selling Caligold's that are at least an Orinoco Based Banana, instead of shipping out Cavendishes.. :^)

Have those produced eating fruit? I was looking at your pictures but it seems the wintertime kept that from happening? Also what do u feed those nanners?

Well I'll be eating them this year.. Hopefully I'll have plenty to make chips out of.. I feed my Banana's Triple 13, Fish Emulsion, Fruit Fuel, and Potassium Sulphate, maybe a lil Azomite in the spring..

Wow you pamper these guys well..I'm looking for a new fert to try so far all i use is cow poop and plant tone. I'm trying to keep it simple. After i saw the growth on yours i may try the same. Where do you get your ferts?

I get triple 13 in bulk from my Farm & Garden
Fish Emulsion from HomeDepot.com by the gallon and I order 4 gallons so the box is full or it will spill cause its shipped by idiots.. :^) The gallon is a couple bucks more than the Qt will cost you in store..
Fruit Fuel & Mycorrhizae (I use it on all my plantings) from Richard
Diamond K Potassium Sulphate (0-0-50) is cheapest online @ kelp4less.com (the price includes shipping last time I looked @ it.)
