well depending on how you would measure
measuring to the top of the psuedostem
or measuring to the top leaf in the air?? LOL

it's between 5-6 feet tall!!

Looks good...my tallest is about 6.5ft... I'm hoping for 12ft or better.

It looks great! I just got 2 musa basjoos at a good size about 2 weeks ago. I hope they look like yours one day!!

Actually the standard protocol for measuring banana height is to measure from the base to the top of the pseudostem (where the highest leaf branches off the pstem). Measuring the total height is innacurate since leaf size varies as does the angle they come out/stay at (I could measure my cigar leaf today and get one height, but get a totally different height after it opens up and sags down a bit). So yeah, pseudostem height is the industry standard for height measurements. If you want to further elaborate on height, you may list 'total height' but be sure to specify that is the measurement you are listing.

I transplanted a pup from my mat into the front garden bed last year. This year it is up to 5 ft., and has 4 pups! They do really well. Congrats on yours; it does look great!

Congratulations on your success! My basjoo is doing exactly the same so far this year after a cool and slow start spring. Now about 5 ft tall at curve of leaf. Very impressive to recent visitors from Saskatchewan. And "Boys, boys, lets not get started on the whole 'mine is bigger than yours' thing, or I and a lot of other members are leaving! It's not how big you grow, or what you grow, but that you grow! Bananas Rock!

Picture looks great! My Basjoos only get partial sun. They are around 3 feet (pstem) at the moment. There are so many Maple trees in this area.
