It's definitely not Mona Lisa.

I thought that was your famous "Not Mona Lisa". If so, all signs point to "Namwah", but I'm waiting until the ones that are hanging in my yard ripen until I say anything more!

Yes it is the Not Mona Lisa . I thought these pix might help with the true ID.

Including what I see in your old photos, and looking at the mat of this one I have growing in my yard, everything says Namwah. But the thing that makes me unsure is that I don't recall the fruit you shared with me having Namwah characteristics. I remember the peel being thick and the flavor not being like Namwah. But maybe I'm just remembering it wrong. What do you remember the fruit being like? Thin peel or thick peel? When very ripe, did it have that very sweet flavor with apple-cider overtones that Namwah has?

I do not remember the fruit being real sweet like namwah. I remember the p-stem on my plant fruiting at about 8' the one in the pic is easy 10'. This is the second flower for this mat and the owner has never fertilized or watered this plant.

Well, at least we remember the same thing, so either we both can't remember correctly, or it didn't have some of the typical Namwah fruit traits. The first p-stem on my mat to fruit is about 10', the next one will be taller than that. It'll probably be at least a few months before the bunch that is hanging will be ripe. Maybe I'll have a better idea of what is then. It is certainly an ABB subgroup plant. But that's all I'm sure about! Other than it is a tough plant that does well in my climate.

Yep, has the purple pedicels of Namwah. But maybe other varieties have that, too.

Yes, me too.

The thing that has us uncertain is that neither of us remember the fruit being like Namwah, but it's been a long time since either of us tried it.
