we got this tree from good local nursery, said is about 2 years old and stands about 30" at the top of p-stem
they say should bloom next year

It does not look like DC. Yours has a green pseudostem, Cavendish varieties are not green like that, they have black splotches on them and sometimes show lots of red coloring too.

ya its possible, but its really hard to see the pseudostem still, especially the base.

Could be, but mine have rounder leaves when that size and the leaves are quite thick. My dwarf Cavendish all have red speckled leaves too.



Though there are some odd small Cavendish cultivars without, like this "Bananarama"

I didn't think it was a dc at first, but now I think it probably is. The red blotches on the pup and the pinkish color at the bottom of the plants looks like one to me. But it could also be a williams hybrid, or one of those related plants to the dc.

after looking at a pic of willaims hybrid of Jarred's and Marc's, they look like leaves are alot longer. Looks close to Jarred's DC but not close to Marc's.

i miss the red coloration on my DC's. Got to about a foot and it all went away. its putting out a new pup, and hopefully itll have the coloration for a while!
