All greetings! Look please at this unknown superdwarf banana. What can it be? The information on it, that it is bought in flower shop, in Holand. And like as refers to Musa Nana. On Musa ' Super Dwarf Cavendish ' it is not similar. Your opinion who can be this stranger?

The puppy unknown superdwarf banana.

It is similar on Musa ' Little Prince ' to me it seems. How you think?

to me it looks like a sdc. the way the leaves come out on a lil prince is different. jmo.

It seems to me, that it is more similar on Musa ' Little Prince ', than on Musa ' Super Dwarf Cavendish '. At it never was present claret spots on leaves as it happens at young Musa ' Dwarf Cavendish ' and Musa ' Super Dwarf Cavendish '. I can and I am mistaken, correct.

Hi Raules......
Doesnt look like lil' prince to me. My lil' prince have a much stockier p-stem. Even the pups do!
Also myyyy lil' prince leaves are totally different.
I agreed with Mskitty............................

Means you too think, that it Musa ' Super Dwarf Cavendish '. At me all doubts. Compared a photo of both plants. And it seems to me, that Musa ' Super Dwarf Cavendish ' is much larger. And leaves at it others. Lay out for comparison the photos Musa ' Little Prince ' so it will be easier to compare. It would be desirable still for somebody to hear, who as thinks.

Iam looking at them both now in my house!
I see a big difference! Also lil' prince leaves are in a much tighter grouping on the p-stem.
On the cavendish the leaves are spaced about 3" to 4" apart on the p-stem.

Reminds me more of 'Little Prince' as well. Just my opinion, but my SDC is much stockier looking that what is shown in Raules photos.

Looks a lot like the Truly Tiny's I had, but I don't have them any more to compare.

The plant is obviously not mature yet, whatever variety it is, so it would be unwise to base it's identification on current size. You need to look at other features (that some members have mentioned), such as the width of the pseudostem relative to it's height, the width of it's leaves and the spacing between petioles. To me, it does not look like 'Little Prince' and if someone told me it was a 'Super Dwarf Cavendish', I would believe them.

Clearly. All thanks for the help. We shall preliminary consider, that it Musa ' Super Dwarf Cavendish '. When will grow, I shall lead still time of comparison. That plant which on a photo has age 2 years, but seems to me, that in the sizes it mismatches the age. The ground bad can, can conditions of the maintenance were others, it is not known. I have taken from it the puppy and it grows this hour at me. I shall conduct supervision.

Looks identical to the musa super dwarf "mini" that I get from sunshine horticulture. And they do sell internationally. So it could be that one.
They get their initial cultures from China, so it could be that the culture lab in china is sending them to europe too. I'd actually say very likely!

Yes it is possible in are right. This hour it is difficult to define a transit of this plant, and as its present name. I consider, that suppliers and sellers of plants should know the present names of the plants which sell. I more than once collided with such cases. Was also such, that bought seeds of one kind, and another grew absolutely. But sellers before do not have business, to it the main thing of money.

Hello Raules,

in Europe you get millions of Musas like yours, that come from Holland.
In the most cases this musas are mutated forms of Musa acuminata and have no accepted names.
The purpose of this Musa here in europe is, to offer the mass-market for less money small Musas, that can be easily cultivated indoors.
This musas often get a large number of suckers, stay small, and in the most cases they don't flower.
This musas were especially cultured for the windowsill, but not for harvest.

Super Dwarf Cavendish ''chyla'' is cultivated alot in holland you probably got that nanner
if you grow it in more chalky soil it wil look weird.
