THANKS - THAT's what I was trying to achieve. :D

As far as I know, this plant has never put out more than one bunch of fruit. But then I have never had a second generation fruit. This is a pup that I brought with us when we moved and it's mother had just fruited (a good friend gave me the original but didn't know what it was.) It never gets much bigger that this and has loads of great bananas and pups great. I would say they were mid-size.

It is 'Dwarf Cavendish'. 'Mahoi' and 'Dwarf Cavendish' are essentially the same plant, except that 'Mahoi' will make multiple bunches in the second generation and onwards. However, 'Dwarf Cavendish' are extremely common and 'Mahoi' you would most likely only have if you are a collector and know exactly what it is you are growing.

Had to laugh because I have aways called it a Dwarf Cav because it is short and had good nanners. So I guess I wasn't too far off HA HA

I always thought the term "Dwarf Cav" was kind of a generic name that applied to any dwarf type cultivar. So is it a specific name for a specific cultivar like Dwarf Orinoco is?

I have a Mahoi but it isn't fruiting size yet. Interesting to find out that they are about the same.
