Default Unknown banana is just pushed flag leaf. Any I’d?

I know this is typically hard until it flowers, but I’m wondering if I should get my hopes up of this being a tasty edible variety. The base is huge, about one and a half feet across. It sends up a lot of pups often. The leaves are fully green on the rib and faded green on the underside.

Gosh I sure hope so. I’ve purchased named cultivars but I’ve got about a dozen of these mature bananas I bought as pups on Craigslist. Will do

Looks like something with a lot of Musa balbisiana genes, an ABB variety if it is an edible one. Which ABB varieties did you buy? Saba, or something like that?

This was an unknown variety I purchased on Craigslist. Our big box stores sell a variety of edibles so hopefully it is one of them
