![]() No, I'm sorry. I forgot to mention they were bare root. They must have trucked them in from South Texas, Mexico, or Florida.

![]() Dean did they have very many? Is your nursery close to you or more towards me? If they have more than you want I may want to get some too.

![]() Look pretty nice but doesn't have the root structure to hold itself up if it gets leaves. I hope you have a stake.. give that bad boy the root stimulator treatment for 2 months :^)

![]() It's close to me JaNan. I'll send you a pm.
I packed it in the ground. It's still standing. Hopefully it doesn't get windy though. I got some bamboo I can make stakes out of. Maybe I'll give it a bit of high phosphorous bat guano to get the roots started. |

They will not be able to grow leaves until they have well developed roots, so this is not an issue. Those plants looks fine and are perfect for direct planting without any issues.

![]() Dean,
They have a lot of these available down here right now. I have picked up a few from different sources and have talked to several of the people that go down to the Rio Grand Vally and pick them up. From the description of the fruit and the history, I believe they are Orinoco. One of the nurseries that get these every year claims that they have had more than a few flower and fruit in the pots while they are for sale. Dave |
