Is this a Super Dwarf Cavendish?
Hello there, I bought this plant in July and it only had four leaves. Back then I didn't think much about what type of musa it could be, but now I do. By looking at it a comparo I guess with what I see and read on the internet, it looks like a Super Dwarf Cavendish. What do yoh all think? I'd really appreciate some help!
Thanks very much in advance :-) |

That plant is greeeeen. Background check. Give us the what ,where ,when, store, nursery you purchased that beauty. What was it called when you bought it? A closer pic of the leaf in lookdown could be a better photo With that information many of the forum members can narrow what your plant really is. For the rest, I unluckily know little to nothing about the plant. After the holidays back home (my girlfriend and I come respectively from the Caribbean and the south of the Mediterranean)I felt really nostalgic about the beautiful giant banana plant that grow there. So one day my girlfriend came back home from the grocery store (here in the Netherlands) with this plant she bought for like 12$. No label, no information whatsoever :-( The pseudostem doesn't seem to have grown much since when I first saw the plant but there are a lot more, bigger and greener leaves now. The pups, on the other hand, are growing at a very fast rate. Sorry not to have more precise information. I hope the photos will help you all identify my plant. Thanks very much indeed in advance! |

Re: Is this a Super Dwarf Cavendish?
Hi everyone, I posted the message/photos above some days ago, but without many reactions so far. I was wondering if anyone would still be able to help me. So..., anyone? Thanks :-)

Re: Is this a Super Dwarf Cavendish?
Looks like a nice super dwarf to me. There are several types of super dwarf now and it looks like it is one. Commonly sold even here in the grocery as a house plant.
