Rescue Banana

Approx 12 yrs ago, we saw a person placing a small potted banana curbside. We stopped our car and asked them what they were going to do with it. They said it's free for the taking, so we took it.

We've kept it indoors since we live in Oregon and figured itd just be an ornamental.

We have no idea what variety it is. This year, its flowered and fruited. The fruit is still young, but the tree is small. No more than 6 ft from soil to apex, with a 5" trunk (?).

Are there any photos of specific areas that would help in identifying?

Congrats on the flower, that is awesome!!

Any pics are better than none;) I have essentially no experience identifying edible bananas, but from what I have read in many previous posts, I would start with pics of:

1) the whole plant, preferably with the entire flowering/fruiting structure included
2) close-up of the flower itself
3) close-up of the fruit
4) close-up of the 'knuckles' - where the fruit attaches to the rachis
5) maybe a close-up of the leaf petioles

Not really sure what else the experts might want to see, but the above should get things started.
