question for banana species growers
Someone at Texas Rare Fruit Growers posted a picture of a small, short, slender P-stem banana plant (maybe 4'?) with an *upright* yellowish/cream colored bud and green leaves growing in a muck bucket "since Feb or March" in Killeen, TX. He said that it was Raja Puri, but I said that I've never seen one like that!
I assume that it is a common species banana, but since I don't know anything about those I figured I'd ask. Dang I need to remember how to post pictures! Is it possible to guess without a picture? |
Re: question for banana species growers
Sounds like it could be Musa siamensis, but would need a photo to ID for sure.
