Based on leaf characteristics it looks like Musa balbisiana, or something closely related.
Has it bloomed for you, and can you share some pics of the flower? The flower should give a better ID.

Yes, it blooms every year on the different stalks. The frost took the leaves again in January so I had to cut it back. I don't have pictures of the flower - it is maroon with the pinks and yellows. Small fruit which dry up before they ripen..

Musa balbisiana flowers are kinda purple/maroon, and they don't get fruit unless pollinated, so that could be what it is.
If you had another species of banana you could pollinate that one and get some hybrid seeds.
