Please, help me identify this variety. Is a cooking banana (plantain).
My grandfather gave me a pup of this plantain variety years ago. The guy that gave him the mother from where this pups came told him it was called "platano amazónico" or amazonian plantain. I couldn't find more info on the plant using that name in the wiki, so im sure it must have other more common names. Here are some photos of the bud flowering and the final fruit. The fruit id say is about 12-14 inches long. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Note: the fruit picture is from another, more recent plant, i was lazy and stopped taking photos the first one and didnt made photos of the second one. |
