Default "Not manzano" and "not Ice cream"

Good evening,,

I am currently growing a musa Mazano bought in EU.
My two cents it is coming from Agristarts.
It looks like this one :

Agri-Starts, Inc. - Musa 'Manzano' (Apple)

And even looks like this one which has been identified as Mysore :

Musa 'Apple' ??

Munch wine red along the leaves margins, not a millimeter fringe but a centimeter wide diffuse band.

Of course I will post pictures of the thing tomorrow.

My question is : could it be a manzano or is it the same story with "Agristarts manzano" than with "Agristarts Blue java- ice cream" ?

Thanks for help,

Phil

It could be the same thing, although this might not be confirmed. The coloration on the AgriStarts picture is suggestive of Mysore. Manzano should be a mostly green plant.

Thanks Caliboy1994,

That's exactly what I was thinking about.
I'll post some pictures of my plants in a couple of minutes.

That doesn't look like a Mysore to me.

Thanks guys.

So if I resume : it is not a PC nor an Ae Ae but it may be a mysore.

But the remaining question is : could it be a manzano ? or this hypothesis can be definitely excluded ?

Thanks

It doesn't look like Mysore or Manzano. The petioles are too open and their wings are too big. Could just be that TC plants, when small, can look kind of unusual compared to field-grown pups. Wait till it's bigger and post more photos.

Thanks a lot Mark, thanks guys,

I'll wait until this plant will be bigger
I Hope an identification will be possible at this stage.

This is an old mat and that's what mine look like.
Its raining out there today that's why its wet. There are two different pups in the picture below (on same mat)
A TC at the same size as my picture may not have as much color. But once they are adults the red is there .. That is my .02 worth

Hi Trebor,

Thanks for your answer.
Where did you get your Manzano ? Field grown pup ? Agristarts TC ?
Did you have bunches from this mat ? Do they look like manzano ?

Got that original pup from the banana man in the Redlands (south Florida) maybe 12 years ago . I dug it up myself.... Ive got 3 separate corms so I get about 3 bunches a year .
It's my favorite fruit that I grow .
Looks like Manzano, tastes like Manzano, smells like Manzono .
