Neighborhood Banana
Hey folks,
Not my banana, but this is one that I was aware of existing in my neighborhood. Never took a close look at it until recently. Guessing it doesn't get a whole lot of attention, but seems to be thriving. Does anyone know what variety this might be? Apologies in advance for the less than professional pics: |

Looks like a wild Balbisinia. It's a hardy, inedible ornamental that as you can see grows and pups like crazy. I have seen it in several locations in the San Fernando Valley.
