Default Need help IDing this one.

I honestly don't know where to begin when looking through the books.

How do you research and ID plants?

This is at a friends house and she didn't know what kind it was. Thought I'd ask here.

It's taller than I am.

‘Orinoco’.

Getting good at IDing takes lots of study and experience, it’s not really something you can learn from a book, you have to look at many plants up close. Ive been doing it for 15 years but it probably took me about 10 years to become confident, and even now Im always learning more and refining my skills, as well as continuing to be stumped every now and then.
