Default My Name - Banana Plant

Local grocery store plant tent has a flat or two of Banana Plants every year, several different ones. They also had 4 or 5 flats that just said Banana Plants. I was there today and those where $6, couldn't resist. I'm thinking Dwarf Cavendish or Super Dwarf Cavendish, it has 8 pups. I know it's hard to tell, but any other idea's.

That purple container and vague term "Banana plant" are awfully familar. Does the tag read Red Oak Greenhouse//Fantastic Foliage by any chance?

I snagged an Ensete maurelii from "them" at a Hyvee pop up tent nursery. Did see the one like what you've posted as well. It looked like cavendish variety to me too, but who knows? I passed it up only because I've already got a SDC.

Their webpage doesn't have the information either.

I know, big whooping help I am.

The leaves are stacked really close together and there is a hint at 'wine stains' on the leaves, ... so these are SDC or may be Truly Tiny. Real Truly Tinys should not have wine stains but many SDC are sold as a Tiny. Those are great looking plants and grow to about 24" to 36" tall. ... These make great house or patio plants, if given plenty of bright light.

Yes, it was a Red Oak Greenhouse Fantastic Foliage. What's your location, where you in line behind me?

Mark the map, it's nice to see where members are located.
