Re: Is this Leb Mue Nam?
If this is the same name as 'Lep Mu Nang', then no, I do not believe it is the right plant, the fruit and bunch orientation seem wrong, but it is a little hard to say for sure at this stage. However, do you have any photos of a more mature bunch that is closer to harvest, and also mature fruit off of the bunch?

Re: Is this Leb Mue Nam?
No, this is the first flower in a field of over 400 plants. We were sold these as Khai bananas but Khai is much smaller so I am wondering what we received instead. It is not a one-off occurrence as another bunch has just opened with the same shaped fruit. Most amazing is that we are getting flowering after only 8 months in the ground.
We are trying to trace the vendor to find out what he sold us but as there were a few intermediary 'friends" involved, this is not proving so quick to investigate. Part of life in LOS! |

Re: Is this Leb Mue Nam?
Keep sharing photos as the fruit develops, it will be easier to ID the closer they get to maturity. Also, if you can, leave a few bunches with the male buds (purple thing below the bunch) intact, and take photos of the fruit bunches with the male bud in the photo, it will be aid in a proper ID.
