Kandarian
I bought this one on ebay as Kandarian. It's fruiting at 9'. Any ideas what it could be?
I'll update with more pictures as the fruit matures. I need some taller bananas... |

Re: Kandarian
This flower is really pretty. It doesn't look much like the other right now, but yours is earlier in development, too. They do not look very similar to me, but I am no expert.

Re: Kandarian
I'm away from my computer right now so don't have access to my reference files, but a quick impression make me think it could be 'Pelipita' and not 'Kandrian'.

Re: Kandarian
Thank you Gabe!! I was really wanting to know this one. It does match all Pelipita pictures I can find. I have trouble finding much of any Kandrian pics. Has anyone tried Pelipita as a cooking banana? How was it? I've read it's a commercial plantain in Asia.
