jamaican red dwarf possibly?
Hi people,
A friend of mine gave me this small banana plant. From doing a bit of research on the net i am leaning towards jamaican red dwarf as the leaves are not a mixture of red and green, the only red part is the stem and core structure of the leaf. If it is a jamaican red dwarf are these bananas edible? Thank you for your help.  |

It looks rather like an Ensete ventricosum, but its hard to tell. Do you know where your friend got it? Also, if you can get a good photo of a whole leaf and a good photo of the entire plant, it will be easier to see.
