Hi Ronaldo, first of all, where was your seed source or what species of sds is ?

There are people from Bkk selling the sds of the Variegated Musa acuminata subsp siamea and there is a high percentage of the sds germinating true to type. If your sds are not from Bkk, then you have hit the jackpot getting a variegated baby.

Btw, did you get my email? It's been a very long time.

Gotcha. I should be fairly close to it when I get to Yunnan. Might have to meet you there for some 'hunting.'

The plant cannot be identified from your photos. If you want us to try and identify the plant, you need to tell us: where you got it, how you grew and if there was a name with the plant when you got it.

Ronaldo, since it came from Bkk and seed germinated, then it is a good chance it is either the Variegated Thai Musa acuminata subsp siamea aka the Thai Yellow Variegated OR the Variegated Musa balbisiana aka Kluay Tanee.

Grow it and if it stays green with 20-30% white and broad leaves, it's the Kluay Tanee. Best of luck.

I got your PM, will reply soon. Thanks.
