Ice Cream Bananas or something else?
Hello All,
I'm looking for some help. First, I thought I purchased and Ice Cream Banana (I know I'm not the first to think that) but was recently told maybe not. Anyway, I am posting pics of the flower (plant flowered inside and then was moved outside), the plant and the bunch. Is it an Ice Cream Banana or something else? When will the bananas be ready? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sandy https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1...x2TzBUd2x5cllB https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1...pINmlqeUhDX3BR https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1...pGR0VTa0stdFB3 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1...JyRkhIQ1Y3a1dj https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1...k0UE52RlFaQ2s4 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1...h6QkdvM1JMWWRB |

Re: Ice Cream Bananas or something else?
My vote is etoliated namwah. Orinoco tall at least none of mine make tight fitting fruits like that and rarely have that many fruits. Petioles are long on the tall part but too short on the shorter ones IMO to resemble any of my orinoco talls.

Re: Ice Cream Bananas or something else?
Given the appearance and what you bought it as, I'm with Bryce, it is almost certainly a tall Namwah.

Re: Ice Cream Bananas or something else?
I’m sorry Sandy! I totally agree. It does look like a tall namwa.

Re: Ice Cream Bananas or something else?
That's a nice looking bunch no matter the type of banana or grow zone but for Pennsylvania that's crazy! Congratulations!
