Re: Is this an Ice Cream ?
Not like mine... my blue java don't have brown marks. It's all green and bluish on reverse.

Re: Is this an Ice Cream ?
Pierre,
That winery shade color underneath of the leaf reminds me of my Pisang Ceylon (Improved Mysore) variety!......Maybe some type of Mysore variety?.....Hopefully it helps!....

Re: Is this an Ice Cream ?
i went to a flea market in florida about a month ago. everything was dc's. but there was a number of them off to the side, the p-stem was about 2ft. according to them these were also dc. so i went home and stripped off the dead leaves on my dc's and confirmed what i already expected, they are not dc's. cant find them in the wiki either. i THINK they are definitely bananas, but they are pretty so i will probably go back and buy 1. ...... there is another very recent post of a members banana with pics, saying the name of the nanner. well i have this particular banana as a tc. so i don't know what i have either but i from looking at other pics of this variety do not think they have what they think they have. but with my limited and very poor education of bananas i can not say anything. plus the fact that i do not want to hurt their feelings. ...... bottom line is that what this org. is for among other things. so enjoy your banana, you may have something many others may want.

The OP's back of leaf picture does show a silvery.blueish tint similar to the Blue Java. ... The leaf picture is a match for my Orinoco & Dwarf Orinoco. Including the silvery/blueish leaf back and pstem. |
