A friend of mine recently passed away and she wanted me to have a few of her banana plants so i got 2 plants but i have no idea what kind they are. The one in the pot I plant to plant outside next spring.

Thanks one of her family members said that they make banana's every other summer. The big plants are dwarf sized around 6-8ft I wonder why the leaves fold down when its hot around 96f outside is the heat just stressing the plant or is that how the banana leave shields itself from the heat.
