Default Goldfinger from LaVerne Nursery

I posted these on the main forum but it's probably better to do it here. Some people said LaVerne's "Goldfinger" is really a Namwah but that's true of their "Ice Cream" and it seems odd to sell the same banana under two names. So is this Goldfinger or Namwah?

It is true that La Verne Nursery sells Namwa as both Ice Cream and Namwa. The confusion started years ago when their supplier AgriStarts mistakenly started selling Dwarf Namwa and Standard Namwa tissue cultures under several different names.

Bananas are usually ID'd by several characteristics including coloration of mature pseudostem, petiole, leaf, inflorescence, and fruit. See the Wiki article Plant Morphology on this site for terminology details.

At this point though, I'd say your plant looks exactly like Namwa that I've grown in multiple locations of near-coastal San Diego County.
