Gold Finger -- maybe.
I bought my first banana plant 6 years ago and for a number of reasons have only recently been able to give it the love it needs. As a result, I'm only now getting my first inflorescence. It was being sold as a Musa Gold Finger, but the seller (Florida Hill Nursery) is notorious for just sending out whatever they have in the back room.
So what do you all think? Seems I can't post images yet, so here's an imgur link - https://imgur.com/a/EcvuXHq Thanks in advance. |

Re: Gold Finger -- maybe.
Its a bit to early to give a solid ID. Keep taking photos as it develops, and give a shot of the entire fruit bunch with the male bud intact, and make sure not to cut off the male bud at all, leave it on as long as you want a chance at a positive ID, it's often critical.

Got it. Will report back in time. Hopefully, I can figure out how to post images by then.

Re: Gold Finger -- maybe.
U are not alone. Ordered 5 from FHN.
Harvested "Pisang Raja" last week. Looks more like Mazano or Lady Finger? 4" thin-skinned fruit. Not too upset. If it's Manzano, I hope my "Manzano" is not a duplicate. The upload struggle is real.
