Re: Generic 'Dwarf Banana' ID?
Getting a positive ID on a plant that size is really difficult. Best bet is to talk to someone who really knows the nursery industry and their suppliers and find out what plant they are cloning.
As far as the red spots on the leaves it does or doesn’t have. In my experience they seem to come and go with more or less light exposure. Also younger plants tend to have the wine spots more than older plants. Plants look like super dwarfs and look very healthy. I would pot them in bigger pots this summer, bring them outside and let them rip. Good luck with them. |

Probably some variant of the unicorn banana

Re: Generic 'Dwarf Banana' ID?
Unicorn Banana....the mythical beast eh?? Could be. And if I am lucky I might get it to flower in the next 10 years.
Thanks you two, I appreciate the response. I know that type of question is a bit ignorant, but I thought I would ask it anyway just in case there might be a more common 'big box banana' floating around. Ya never know! |
