Dwarf red?
I think this is a dwarf red, but not sure. Trunk, red, leaves green, petioles, red, fruit I have only seen unripe, but greenish red. What do you think? And it had persistent bracs.

Re: Dwarf red?
I have a positive not ID. It is definitely, without a doubt, not the Unicorn Banana.

Re: Dwarf red?
The reds I have very little experience with. I have seen young Patupi at that stage look very similar to your picture. Time will tell if the red stays or goes with maturity of your plant. Plant looks good and healthy. Good luck!

Looks like it.. Better identification can be had with a photo of the mature parent plant though. A photo of the parent plant would better ........ the small plant could pass as any red stemmed musa at this point. Here is a photo of some of my small pups which look similar. Re: Dwarf red?
Well, how tall were the mother plants when they fruited? I have what was called a dwarf red that fruits at tall height 12 ft plus to crown.. But fruits are short, maybe 4-5 inches long (and very delicious). btw, the fruits go from Red to Greenish to Yellow Ripe.

Re: Dwarf red?
Too small of a plant to give ID. But Dwarf Red doesnt have persistent bracts, and the fruit is normally very dark red when young and only sometimes gets a little bit of green towards maturity, but usually still totally red.

Re: Dwarf red?
I thought my dwarf red had more color than that when It was small. It eventually reverted back to green. It about 9 ft at the trunk, had over 15 pups, fruit was short and fat, but pretty good eating. The leaves were like cardboard, and could withstand wind that would shred other banana leaves. As large as mine was, I never understood it being called a 'dwarf' anything.
