We bought the original plant about 2 years ago. Tthe nursery marked it as Musa banana. Go figure. It was kept at the nursery under filtered light so we thought it might be nice as an indoor plant. It did well for two years until it got some kind of fungus and wilted. A pup got started and it got up about 3 foot and wilted too. So I pulled the whole thing out of the soil and rinsed it then planted what was left outside. In a week or two the two little ones came up.
