![]() Not sure which one I got from the nursery. When I asked they said they had Dwarf Cavendish but I saw a tag on the ground that showed Rowe red. The plants were not separated by what type of banana they were. I asked but nobody knew the difference. The other plants were smaller with darker leaves and maybe some red coloration.

![]() Those don't look like Cavendish. I do have a dwarf red, and it looks like that...

![]() Those are reds. The dwarf cavendish has red splotchs in the leaf which will fade away as the leaf gets older.

![]() The smaller ones were the Cavandish then since they had red on the leaves. If these are the dwarf red, does that mean it's a Rowe red and will not produce edible fruit?

![]() Rowe red doesn't seem to be an edible, but it also has wine stains on the leaves according to the wiki pic.
Musa Rowe Red - Bananas Wiki Yours look very much like my dwarf red, which if anyone wants it, PM me.

![]() Thanks for the replies. Now that I know I did not pick the cavendish, I am trying to determine if this is a Rowe Red (like the loose tag I saw there) or a Dwarf Red. Or is a red dwarf and rowe red the same thing?

They are dwarf reds. Rowe red is a sport of musa zebrina, has red splotches on leaves. |

![]() They sure look just like my dwarf red did when it was smaller... They don't ever seem to develop nice healthy green leaves... I have seen other people's dwarf reds and they are the same.
