Dwarf Cavendish? (pics)
Got this plant from UC Davis, and the curator told me he wasn't 100% sure, but thought it might be a dwarf cavendish. Well, figured some hardcore musaphiles here might be able to tell, although I understand it's like taking a picture of blade of grass and trying to ID the species. Any and all ideas on what this might be are welcome!
The tall plant in the middle is in question (the one on the right is a different clone from home depot)  Same plant in question, but smaller pup:  |

It certainly could be Dwarf Cavendish. I don't see any traits that rule out that cultivar, but it could be something else, too.

Based on my actual experience growing Cavendish bananas with that similar coloration, I would rule out the normal Dwarf Cavendish and lean more towards a tall Dwarf Cavendish type, probably a Gran Nain.
The main plant in the top photo will probably never bear fruit, but some consider it a beautiful plant.

The pup has no red on the pstem, dont think its GN. What about the colouring makes u think its not DC? Identifying varieties is still tricky for me.

Well crap, I've been basing everything off that for last few years. Makes sense with the stem thicknesses in #7....couple more years and I might have something figured out. Looks like my "GN" might be flowering sooner than I thought.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! In the first picture, I'm starting to suspect the little plant on the right that was bought from home depot is a superdwarf cavendish. I'll take a closer picture of it when I get a chance.
What do you guys think of GAB15's comment below? Notice, he states the "regular" dwarf cavendish has red pseudostems (this was copied and pasted from the following thread: Unknown Wal-Mart Banana) "The red pseudostem with black markings (and that is was found in Wal-Mart) indicate a Cavendish of some sort, while the stockiness and short petioles indicate 'Super Dwarf Cavendish'. Here is the 'Super Dwarf Cavendish' compared to 'Dwarf Cavendish' of roughly the same age and in the same conditions. 'Super Dwarf Cavendish' petioles. They are very short and compacted.
