Default Is this a Dwarf Cavendish?

I picked this guy up at a local nursery but have no information about it whatsoever! I did a little bit of research online and it looks like a Dwarf Cavendish, but I need to ask the experts to be sure!

What's the difference between a "Super Dwarf" and a "Dwarf Cavendish"? How tall do you think this will get?

I'm not one of the experts Kayte but I'll jump in here and give it a try. I usually get these wrong and the experts come in here and embarrass me. Looks just like my super dwarf. In that pot I would guess about 2' tall.

Thanks @just J and @Michael_Andrew! It seems like a pretty popular variety, so that's probably what it is.

If I put it in a bigger pot or outside how big could it get?

I say probably SDC as well. Possibly even 'Little Prince'.

My SDC has a lot more red markings on the leaves. Not sure that is correct. Little Prince's are HELLA cute, though. And as for dwarf cavendish...it's possible. I guess time will tell whether it's going to get larger.

Lil cavendish naners start off with that red marking and then gradually loose it and become all green, as for the plant in the pic it does look like SDC or LITTLE PRINCE....

Your pic that you called SDC looks a lot more like High Color Mini to me. See my gallery for a pic of HCM.

Joy Re: Is this a Dwarf Cavendish?

Hi Kayte, here's my 2 cents;

The mini 'naner cultivars do look very much alike at this size. I have not owned a HiColor Mini but I have both the DC and SDC. For these 2, you can figure out the visual characteristic easily even when they are young.

DC : The p-stem towards the top is a lightish green.

SDC : The p-stem is a distinct reddish color.
