Dwarf Cav or Super Dwarf?

Hi all.. So this is a 4 year old plant, and some of its pups.. it was sold as a dwarf cavendish, but it has never gotten larger than 4 feet, and has died to to corm each winter *I didn't protect it at all) . After starting to grow different varieties this year, I noticed how the leaves bunch up on the Pstem on this plant.. All of its pups have the same characteristic. Im now thinking this is a super dwarf.. what say you banana elders?
This is a transplanted pup...

Mother and next years main plant

Sorry for the sideway photos, cannot figure out how to fix these after upload!

If it gets to four feet, and never flowers, that suggests that it is a dwarf cavendish. I am not an expert, but that is what I THINK. Does the same stem come back every year, or is it a pup that grows? If it is a new pup that grows, then THAT :ha: suggests that it is a super dwarf (flower dies in stem over winter, thus stem never comes back)

Judging by the height and the leaf spread, kinda looks like a Super Dwarf Cavendish.

The compact growth looks like SDC, but those will flower and fruit even if no taller than 4'.

It is almost always a new pup that grows, however this year is the first year the main stem started regrowing, but it has pup out 5 or 6 pups. Ive been fertilizing heavily this year, and they main plant is only just under 2 feet tall. I presumed the leaves bunching on the stem was a fertilizer issue, but even the potted pups are that way. Thanks for your response!

Yea, I have heard the same, however I think because this plant usually starts over from a pup, that it hasn't had time to complete a fruiting cycle. Im pushing it pretty hard this year, so am hoping to see a flower to be able to positively ID it.. This is the first year that im fertilizing it hard so will see what happens.. thanks!
