Unhappy Re: Does this look like a Red Iholene?

Unfortunately thats what it's supposed to be. Got it from Wellspring Gardens and it was listed as Red Iholene Banana. Also it was real slow to grow. Been in the ground since March, however when I went on vacation the sprinkler I have on it did not work and it got set back a little.

Can you post a pic of the underside of the leaves?
Red Iholene has a hint of purple-pink underneath.

Red Iholene leaves are a burgundy color underside and reddish-pinkish pseudostem.

Try to get them from underneath, at an angle.

Took pictures but forgot to bring in camera. However the bottom of the leaves are just plain green.

It doesn't appear to be Red Iholeni. Dwarf Brazilian, maybe? Or possibly Dwarf Cavendish, but it doesn't look stocky enough and the leaves seem a bit narrow. At the very least, you have a healthy looking banana!
Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Thanks,
Guess I need to check with Donovan at Wellsprings about selling me the wrong plant. He does sell a dwarf Brazilian but I did not want a short banana.
