Default Does this look like a Double Mahoi Banana Plant?

I purchased a Double Mahoi Banana Plant from Florida Hill on July 8, 2013. I have looked for pictures of young Double Mahoi Banana plant, but can not find any. Its a healthy plant lots of red spots. Did I get what I purchased or did I buy something else?

checks off all the boxes of my research this far in the game. . . I heard sometimes it takes up to two OR three years to show the second bloom.

Well it certainly looks like something in the Cavendish family, which is what Double Mahoi is in.

Thank. At least it looks like Double Mahoi and not something else. I will post more pictures when it grows up.

I don't have the spark plug tool to measure the leaf thickness but just by touching the leaves I can tell they are way thicker than my other banana plants the same size. The P stem has a lot of pink also. I hope it produces banana that taste good.

That sounds great. I also have a small 1000 fingers banana that I'm not sure about.

Here is my double pic taken this morning - got the double TC from Sandy last year so I have not had a bloom to verify - yours has alot more wine stains - looks more like my D. cavendish. Guess I'll have to break out the sparkplug gauge. Bringing AbnShrek a pup or two to the nana meet this weekend.

c'mon now! Y'all should know it takes a tissue culture a lot more time to develop traits than a normal pup!
Edit: you can't compare the two very much; petiole canal/wing and midrib don't seem to develop fully as much in TC from what my research proves. Colors maybe more accurate.

I'm not even sure if that's something in the Cavendish subgroup. The petioles look more like those of an AAB type, and I don't see any wine spots. It almost looks like my Raja Puri. How tall is it?

The two banana's don't look alike to me. I have never had a banana pup with so many wine stains that don't seem to be fading. My plant has a lot of pink on the stem also.

I wouldn't worry about it, you can't compare a T/C to a real pup except @ certain stages.. It will take a bit for your plant to grow into its own as it gets bigger, and will look nothing like it did when it was small.. Here is a pic of my Williams Hybrid.. It looked like when I got it and will look nothing like this when it puts on another foot of p-stem. :^)

I'm guessing that we are comparing two TC plants in this instance - I hope the double doesn't turn out to be like the Blue Java debacle. I'm beginning to think that it is a waste of time to buy from nursery.
