Thats pretty sweet. You should send a pup to someone in a much warmer area for a really good chance of fruiting it.

lost all the leaves over the winter and growing fine now, with NO BLACK this time.

I've actually rescued a lot of things using sulfur dust: cacti, bananas, pepper plants, etc. Black/green > mushy > gone down in FL.
